ARDA Language Center, Luang Prabang opened in 2004 to serve English language learning needs of the city of Luang Prabang. Initially located on the Santiphap High School premises, we have now moved to Nasang Village, in the south end of town.

English Language Learning Program

Luang Prabang is a World Heritage site, one of the main cultural centers of Lao PDR and is a popular destination for tourists from all over the world, ARDA Luang Prabang helps students in Luang Prabang learn and use what has become the de facto language of tourism, English. Apart from the tourist industry, our English classes also help students preparing to study and live abroad develop their proficiency in English. We even teach English to certain classes using an IELTS framework as a first step in their preparation for the IELTS exam. Outside of the classroom, we also host regular English Clubs to help students practice English in real-life situations, go on field trips and do a variety of teacher-student activities to build rapport and enhance students’ learning experience. All our teachers are native English speakers and are committed to seeing students succeed in the classroom, as well as in life.

Lao Language Learning Program

We also offer Lao language classes to foreigners living in Luang Prabang who would like to study Lao for the first time or improve their language skills. We have an in-house curriculum and well-trained native Lao teachers that have helped scores of foreigners learn to speak, read and write the Lao language proficiently. Students may choose to study one-on-one or in small groups, depending on personal preference, and at a time of their choosing. We also offer online classes via ZOOM for those who are unable to meet in person for the same price.
